For the first time GP1 will produce the TCR Europe series which will race at the Salzburgring circuit in Austria this weekend, with the championship battle hotting up, with both Aurélien Comte and Franco Girolami tied at the top of the points standings.
The challenging Salzburgring circuit will be real battleground, with the super-fast 4.2km circuit known for being tough on tyres, and favouring fast and light cars with good aero – with those carrying compensation weight into the weekend set to be on the back foot. Weather forecast for the weekend is heavy rain and wind which would be challenging for the organizers and competitors.
TCR Europe will be available to GP1 viewers on all platforms in Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and several other Central European countries with channel’s reach more than two million households on TV operators itself. Also signal will be delivered to TCR Europe & Partners profiles at Facebook, Youtube TCR TV, Motorsport Television Deutschand, DirecTV and FOX Sports in Latam & Macedonia TV.

The drivers and the teams of TCR Europe will have two free practices on Saturday, followed by Qualifying at 17:30 local time. Two races will be held on Sunday – first will start at 9:25 and the second one at 13:00.
